Partnership Committees:

Executive Committee

Comprised of the Partnership President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, with duties as described in Partnership regulations.

On occasion, as needed, meets to discuss partnership activities and to prepare recommendations for Board consideration.

Acts as a sounding board and provides guidance for Director, especially with regard to committee operations, strategic planning, finances, and action plan updates and progress.

Reviews annual budge prior to presentation to full Board.

Assists with operational matters (e.g. providing office space and other in-kind support).


Partnership Outreach Committee

Promotes Partnership to civic groups, churches, individuals, etc., and encourages/recruits new partners.

Helps recruit volunteers for projects.

Helps plan and carry out outreach and fundraising events.

Assists with planning and implementation of watershedwide educational programs (e.g. lawn care certification, volunteer stream monitoring).

Helps cities satisfy Phase II Stormwater public education and outreach requirements.

Helps organize outreach events (e.g. Music BytheBrook concerts).

Assists with the creation of Doan Brook Watershed informational fact sheets.

Assists with website, quarterly newsletters and brochure design and mailing.

10th Annual Family Fishing Derby
Saturday, August 7th, 9am-3pm at Rockefeller Lagoon


Learn about the Doan Brook, our local watershed, while learning to fish! Instructors will be on hand all day. Fun for the whole family!


Photography Hike in the Doan Brook Gorge
A Heights Sustainability Week Event
Saturday, October 9th, 9am - 12pm

Bring your own camera equipment and explore the Gorge with award-winning local photographer David Perelman-Hall.  You will learn new photographic techniques while enjoying the fall colors of the Gorge. Location: meet at the Lower Lake Bridge at the corner of North Park and Coventry Rds, otherwise know as Lover's Lane  Then on Wednesday, October 13th the group will meet at the Nature Center from 7-9pm to view and critique the photos from the hike.

Tuesday, November 16 - 7:30 p.m.
at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes

Don't miss our interactive discussion on the year's events in the Doan Brook Watershed.  Mix and mingle over desserts and wine.  Admission is complimentary. Questions?
