When: September 26, 2020. 10:00am-12:00pm

Where: Cumberland Park

Storm Drain Stenciling Saturday

To educate the public about the connections between stormwater runoff and local watershed health, we are inviting volunteers to head out into the community on September 26th to stencil the message “Lake Erie Starts Here” next to residential storm drains in Cleveland Heights. To minimize exposure and respect social distancing guidelines we will be running this event a little differently than we have past Storm Drain Stenciling Saturdays.

We will host the event in the Cumberland Park parking lot in Cleveland Heights and will load stenciling materials (paint, stencil, etc.) into vehicles as volunteers arrive. Volunteers will receive full instructions and assignments for nearby residential streets in the Dugway Brook watershed in Cleveland Heights. Volunteers will not be assigned to teams. If you arrive individually, you will stencil individually. If you arrive with a small group, you may stencil with your family or team. Arrive between 9:30-10:00 AM to pick-up materials and plan to return to the Cumberland Park parking lot by 12:15 pm to drop off materials.

In the event of rain, we will hold the event instead the very next day: Sunday, September 27th at 9:30am-12:00pm

Please register using the form on this page so we know to expect you and can make sure we have enough materials prepared. In order to minimize handling of pens and materials we would ask that you download, print, and sign the waivers in advance and bring them to the event with you if you are able. You will find links to the PDFs directly below the registration form.
