WELCOME

The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership is a non-profit organization with broad participation from the cities of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights, & various other stakeholder organizations and interested citizens.

Through collaboration and sharing of resources, the Partnership will develop and implement a watershed management plan for the preservation and improvement of Doan Brook. The Plan will include recommendations of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's Doan Brook Study.

The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership will secure and coordinate funding to sustain the organization and to further the stewardship of Doan Brook.

IN MEMORIAM
Lester A. Stumpe

Lester A. Stumpe, 60, of Cleveland Heights, died peacefully at sunset on March 7, 2010. Loving husband of Marcia Mauter and father of Meagan, Melissa and Justin Mauter; devoted son of Dorothy and Clarence (deceased) Stumpe and sister Ruth Tofle; he is also survived by a caring community of relatives and friends. Since his cancer diagnoses five years ago, Lester continued to rise with the sun and embrace the challenge of each new day. As Manager of Watershed Programs for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District for 29 years, Lester dedicated his professional life to the restoration of urban watersheds. As a husband and father, Lester’s greatest joy was learning, working, and adventuring with his family. Please direct contributions in Lester’s memory to either The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership, where he served as a founding board member, 2600 South Park Blvd, Cleveland OH 44120 OR to The Hiram House, 33775 Hiram Trail, Chagrin Falls, OH 44022, where he courted and was married 27 years ago. Church of the Redeemer in Cleveland Hts. will host both visitation (4-7pm Saturday, March 13) and the memorial celebration (4pm Sunday, March 14).
