Join us for the “Area 51” Shaker Parklands Hike!

Led by Dr. Roy Larick and Tim Kalan, this hike will take you through “Area 51”, the wooded area across the street from the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes. This part of the Shaker Parklands follows the North Branch of the Doan Brook offering scenic views of the stream. Hikers will navigate winding, uneven, unimproved paths, and low-hanging branches during this short, but moderate hike. Come learn about the geology, ecology and history of this often overlooked spot!

Please come dressed for a hike. Consider wearing breathable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes, and bring water for your comfort. For questions, please contact info@doanbrookpartnership.org.
