Doan Brook Photo Hike

Convene at the bridge at the west end of the Lower Shaker Lake where we will introduce ourselves and begin our photographic adventure. We will photograph at this location, then move to the Roxboro area and take a walk down into the gorge. Depending on your level of expertise, we will pursue anything from basic camera settings such as aperture and depth of field to more advanced image-making practices such as in-camera movement.
Time: 9 – 12 AM, roughly
Location: Lower Shaker Lake bridge, Brook Rd.
Footwear: Decent hiking shoes/boots recommended for portions of the hike can be slippery or treacherous.

Spots are limited, and pre-registration is required. Please register below by selecting the number of tickets you would like, and then click “Get Tickets”. If you have any issues registering, please contact Emily at kao@doanbrookpartnership.org.
Important:
- Bring fully charged camera battery (someone always has to drop out for this reason)
- Bring camera card with enough space on it to record many images
- Bring camera user manual if you are just beginning

David Perelman-Hall is an award-winning local photographer who grew up with Shaker Lakes as his childhood playground.
