Doan Brook Watershed Partnership Annual Meeting

Charting Doan’s Flow: Brook and Community

You’re invited to join the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership as we celebrate those who are making our watershed more vibrant, healthy and sustainable. Our keynote speaker is long-time partner and Doan Brook advocate Dr. Roy Larick.

Many of Cleveland’s small watercourses are buried and forgotten. Doan Brook is just large enough, just distant enough from Public Square — and loved just enough — to have escaped this fate. Still, Doan has suffered in human hands. The Partnership has engaged watershed communities in the cause to right historical wrongs since its inception in 2002. While success is evident, the struggle continues. Dr. Larick will summarize the Partnership’s accomplishments of twenty years and chart the flow of Community Doan during the decades to come.

As a Paleolithic archaeologist, Roy Larick has researched early humans across the Old World. Since boomeranging home in 2002, he has applied a long term perspective to understanding Cleveland’s urban streams and helping in restoration efforts. Doan Brook has a firm place in his heart.

As always, DBWP staff and Board will share highlights of 2023 and we’ll honor our watershed heroes!
