2021 Annual Meeting

When: November 16, 2021 7pm

Dams, Rivers, and People: Damned if You Do, Damned if You Don’t

You’re invited to join the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership as we celebrate those who are making our watershed more vibrant, healthy and sustainable.

Our keynote address will recount the history of dam building in America and explore the modern day complexities of dam removal and dam upkeep. Because the meeting is virtual, we invited one of our country’s foremost experts in this field to share her experience with hundreds of projects involving dams. Laura Wildman is a licensed professional engineer and ecological restoration engineer at Biohabitats. After Laura’s presentation on dams, mill-ponds, rivers and the diversity of community decisions regarding these systems, Laura will take questions from the audience.

As always, DBWP staff and Board will share annual highlights and honor our 2021 watershed heroes, the CWRU Student Sustainability Council. Join us virtually. Free and open to all. Registration required via Zoom.
