Sessions: 10am, 11am or 1pm
Join Doan Brook Watershed Partnership and Cleveland Metroparks Youth Outdoors for fun, family-friendly fishing. We’ll cover the basics from tackle and technique to casting, fish ID, and handling. We’ll even show you how to clean and prepare your catch. After learning the basics, everyone can test their luck fishing for stocked trout in the beautiful Rockefeller Lagoon. Workshops are family-friendly with about 30 minutes of guided instruction followed by as much time to fish as you would like. Loaner rods must be returned by 3:00 PM. Help from experienced anglers will be available throughout the event. Bring your own rod and reel or borrow one of ours. Bait will be provided.
Participants should bring a cooler and ice if they plan to keep their catches. No fishing license is required to fish in the lagoon.
